In a touching symbolic event on Saturday 9 August 2025 outside the Metropolitan Church of St. George of Paralimni and in front of the monument of Tasos Markos, the relatives of the victims of the air tragedy that occurred on 14 August 2005 in Grammatikos, Attica, lit 121 candles in memory of the victims of the accident.

Present among others were the Speaker of the Parliament Mrs. Anita Demetriou, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Kostas Koumis, the Mayor of Paralimnii - Deryneia Mr. George Nikolettos, the Deputy Mayor of Paralimnii Mr. Kleanthis Koutsoftas, MPs and relatives of the victims.
