Another Easter custom of Paralimni which is continued by the scout troops of the city was revived today in the neighborhoods of Paralimni.

Specifically, members of the 21st Sea Scout System and the 291st Air Scout System, returned to the neighborhoods and the main streets of Paralimni singing the "Kullouri", keeping alive another tradition.

In fact, in the context of the revival of the custom, members of the 291st Air Scout System, together with the musicians Panagiotis Koumasi, Kyriakos and Stefanos Hadjiandreou, visited three special ladies, carriers of our folk tradition, Kyriakou Muaimi, Despina Sardalou (Tsiakou) and Pantelou Tziella, singing Kullouri to them and received flutes and red eggs as gifts.

The initiative took place in the framework of the Festival of Traditional Culture "Voices and Memories" organized by the Municipality of Paralimnios - Derynia in cooperation with the Cultural Academy of Agios Epiphanios from 9 to 30 April 2025. Entrance to all events of the Festival is free of charge.
