With the original musical performance "The Struggle of the Stoys" composed by Yannis Laoutaris and written by George Papaconstantinou, the curtain opened on the Municipality of Paralimniu - Dherynia Music Festival on Wednesday 17th September 2025 at the Municipal Amphitheatre of Dherynia.

The Festival will continue until September 21 with a total of five musical performances in all the municipal districts of the Municipality and specifically with the musical tribute to Elias Kouloumi on Thursday, September 18 at the Municipal Amphitheatre of Frenarous (free entrance), with the Kanvinitises on Friday, September 19 at the Municipal Auditorium of the Municipality. With Alkinoos Ioannidis on Saturday 20 September at the Dherynia Public Amphitheatre (tickets are sold out) and with Vasiliki Hadjiadamu on Sunday 21 September at Acheritou Square (free entrance).

The musical performance "The Struggle of the Stoys" was an original creation organized by Artrat Collective and funded by the Department of Contemporary Culture of the Ministry of Culture, with the participation of the talented young musicians Yannis Laoutaris (composer), Grigoria Nicola, Kyriakos Markoullis, Nikos Pantehis, Panagiotis Paraskeva, Pantelis Gassas, Paris Paraschos, Stelios Antoniou and Christos Isidorou.

The Deputy Mayor of Dherynia, Mr. Nikos Lilis, addressed the audience on behalf of the Municipality of Paralimniu - Dherynia, who stressed that the Music Festival, with events in all municipalities of the Municipality, comes to demonstrate the power of culture as a bridge of unity and creation.

The Festival is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, with OPAP and Eurobank as main sponsors and RIK as communication sponsor.
