The Municipality of Paralimniu-Derynia informs the public that in the area of Kappari, Potamia beach has been designated as a dog-friendly beach and sunbeds and umbrellas have been placed which are provided free of charge to visitors as well as toilets.

It clarifies that dogs are allowed to cross and wash only on the specific beach of the marine area of the Municipality of Paralimni-Derynia.

Dogs walking on the beach must be registered, vaccinated and owners must carry the relevant health certificates/booklet with them.

For safety reasons dogs must be leashed when on the beach and aggressive dog species must be muzzled.

Dog owners must clean up their dogs' mess and prevent them from defecating in the sea.

Violation of the above regulations will result in a fine being imposed on the dog handler by the Local Authority.
