The Christmas Lighting Ceremony of the Municipal District of Acherito took place on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The event, which took place in the Municipal District square, included songs and dances by the Cultural Association of Agios Georgios Vrysoullon – Acheritou, songs by Neophytos Charalambous, and a concert by Yiannis Margaris. In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni – Deryneia, Mr. George Nicolettos, said that the Municipality is on a path of steady progress and renewal, with interventions and innovative actions that upgrade the daily life and experience of visitors. He highlighted the impressive Christmas decorations and the "Ice Age" theme park, wishing everyone health, peace, and creativity for the new year. The Deputy Mayor of Acheri, Mr. Michalis Kaounas, also gave a speech.
