The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia informs that during the carnival events in Paralimni, the following roads will be affected:
Nighttime foot parade Saturday, February 21, 2026:
For the night parade on 21/2/26, part of Griva Digeni Street will be closed from its intersection with Tassos Markou Street to its intersection with Akropoleos Street from 19:00 to 21:00. Also, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the following streets will be closed: Arch. Makarios III Street from the height of the PEK building, the intersection of Agios Dimitrios and Akropoleos (Kalli barbershop). Ag. Georgios Street from the height of the Pittatzis pharmacy will remain closed until the end of the event (midnight-1:00 a.m.).
Carnival parade Sunday, February 22, 2026:
For the Carnival parade on 22/6/26, Protara Avenue will be closed from the EKO-ARTYMATAS gas station, Agios Georgios Street, part of Griva Digeni Street, Tassos Markou Street, as well as sections of side streets and roads along its entire length. The intersection of Protara Avenue and Filikis Etaireias Street up to the EKO ARTYMATA gas station will remain open for access by residents and carnival participants. The closures will begin gradually at 10:00 a.m. and will be completed by 12:00 p.m. The roads will be reopened gradually after the parade has ended and cleaning has been completed.
The public is requested to follow traffic signs and obey the instructions of the police and municipal officials to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
