Through an entertaining story featuring St. George (referred to as "Yorkoin") and the Dragon, children are given the opportunity to get in touch with the ch̆iatistas as a characteristic type of singing in Cypriot traditional music. Through experiential and playful activities that contribute to the development of the story, children learn about the main characteristics of a ts̆iatistta, both from a musical and linguistic point of view. The workshop lasts about 80 minutes. During this time we also briefly introduce the children to some traditional instruments from Cyprus and Greece, while there are also short breaks where we play music to the children, mainly for entertainment and relaxation purposes.

No musical knowledge is required.

Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult.

It is addressed to: Children aged 5-9 years old

Maximum number of participants: 30 people

PARTICIPATION FREE OF CHARGE.
