The traditional concert featuring Eleni Mavroudi was held with great success on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2026, at St. George’s Square in Paralimni, as part of the Easter events organized by the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia and the 2nd Festival of Traditional Culture “Voices and Memories.”

The concert featured performances by the music and dance groups of the “Antama” Dance School and the “Erofili” Dance School of Rethymno, Crete, while the musicians Eleni Mavroudi on vocals, Konstantinos Zervos on the lyre and vocals, Giorgos Chliaoutakis on the lute and vocals, Eirineos Dimitriou on violin and vocals, Kyriakos Kaniklidis on lute, Dimitris Panagis on guitar and vocals, and Andreas Skettos on accordion and vocals.

In his opening remarks, the Mayor of Paralimni–Deryneia, Mr. George Nikoletos, noted that this festival gives voice to the cultural continuity of our region, highlights the richness of our traditions in a meaningful, and brings together generations, uniting people of different ages and reminding us that our culture remains one of the most enduring and valuable foundations of our collective identity. He added that the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia consciously invests in initiatives that highlight the history, the memory, and the cultural character of the region, expressing the deep conviction that tradition acquires true meaning when it remains present in the life of society, when it becomes a lived experience, participation, and a shared experience.

The event was part of the 2nd Festival of Traditional Culture “Voices and Memories,” organized by the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia in collaboration with the “Agios Epifanios” Cultural Academy from March 28 to April 25, 2026, and is held under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Culture.
