George Nicolettos was born in Paralimni in 1973.
He studied Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, where he was awarded first place in the Pancyprian Examinations. During his studies, he received many scholarships and awards and specialized in anti-seismic technology.
George Nikolettos is the founder of the office "G+S Nikolettos Architects - Civil Engineers Ltd", which has successfully completed hundreds of projects, both public and private. He also founded the company "QUAKEGUARD CYPRUS LTD", which specializes in repairs and seismic reinforcement of buildings and bridges, applying innovative materials in projects in Cyprus and abroad.
From 2002 to 2016, he served as a DISY Paralimni Municipal Councillor, while from 2007 to 2011 he held the position of Deputy Mayor, actively contributing to solving problems and promoting infrastructure projects. In addition, he was Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Electricity Authority (AEK) and a member of the Board of Directors of the Natural Gas Infrastructure Company (ETYFA).
Today, he is an elected member of the Political Bureau of DISY.
In the local elections of 2024, he was elected Mayor of the newly formed
Municipality of Paralimniu - Deryneia.
