In a climate of religious uplift and with due reverence and devotion, the Epitaph service was held at the Metropolitan Church of St. George in Paralimni on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.

The service was presided over by the Bishop of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr.Vasileiou, and attended by the Mayor of Paralimniu - Deryneia, Mr.George Nicolettos, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and President of DISY, Mrs.Anita Demetriou, the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Mr.George Papanastasiou, the Member of the European Parliament, Mr. Mr. Michael Hadjipantelas, the President of EOA Famagusta Mr. Yannis Karousos, the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni Mr. Mr. Yiannis Koutsoftas, the Commander of the 7th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Marios Hoovardas, the Station Chief of the Famagusta Fire Stations Mr. Yiannis Kapillas, the President of the Paralimni School Fire Brigade and representatives of the Police.

Mrs Anita Demetriou visited and venerated three other churches of the Municipality, the Holy Church of All Saints in Deryneia and the Holy Churches of St Demetrios and St Barbara in Paralimni.

The choirs of the Anemoessa Cultural Association of the Metropolitan Church and Melizona of the Paralimni Municipal District sang the Ekoimia.

This was followed by the procession of the Epitaph in the main streets of the city to the sounds of the symphonic band "Harmony" of the Municipality of Paralimnii - Dherynia. The epitaph was carried by members of Paralimni scout associations, while a troop of the army paid tribute.
