The Mayor of Paralimnii - Deryneia, Mr. George Nicolettos, representing the Municipality of Paralimnii - Deryneia, is at the International Tourism Fair ITB, which is being held these days in Berlin. This is the largest and most important tourism exhibition worldwide.

As Mr. Nikolettos said, the presence of the Municipality in this important event is a unique opportunity to promote the region and to strengthen efforts to extend the tourist season.

During his presence at the exhibition, Mr.Nikolettos had the opportunity to hold meetings with tour operators and professionals of the industry, which, as he said, proved that there is increased interest in the Municipality, with the prospects for the summer season being particularly positive, since specifically the next tourist season is expected to see a 6% increase in incoming tourist traffic, and a 9% increase in the German market.

He also noted that "with a coordinated and collective effort, we strengthen the position of our Municipality on the global tourism map and create new opportunities for sustainable tourism development and at the same time we continue to work towards the promotion and upgrading of our tourism product, highlighting our Municipality as an attractive destination of high quality".
