What is the Neighbourhood Watch?
The Neighbourhood Watch is a modern crime prevention strategy, implemented through cooperation between the Police, Local Authorities and citizens.
The aim of the programme is to raise citizens' awareness and their active participation in crime prevention with the ultimate goal of reducing crime, increasing the level of security in the neighbourhoods of municipalities and communities and generally improving the quality of life.
The role of the Neighbourhood Watch
Neighborhood Watchers are the eyes and ears of their neighborhood. They work with their neighbors, other fellow citizens and the Police for their own safety, the safety of their family and property, and the safety of the area where they live or work.
