With a rich artistic program and traditional games, residents and visitors in Acheritou enjoyed themselves on the day of the Monday of Labris. The program which was organized in the square of Acheritou included traditional games of Lambris and a rich artistic program by the Katerini Polyphonic Orchestra and dances by the Cultural Club of Acheritou.

In his greeting the Mayor of Paralimniu - Derynia Mr. George Nicolettos congratulated all those who contributed voluntarily in their own way to the realization and success of the event.

He also noted that the entire municipal council works in close cooperation and tirelessly with the sole aim of improving the living standards of the citizens and upgrading the experience of local and foreign visitors.

He also spoke about the strategy of upgrading the visitor experience by highlighting the cultural and tourist profile of the region. He said that among the main axes is the expansion of tourism to the hinterland, with a typical example being the availability of a free tourist guide, which highlights the history, wealth and natural beauty of all the municipalities.

Finally, he expressed his wish that the Resurrection light will be a beacon of hope and faith for the long-awaited liberation and reunification of the occupied territories of the Municipality and Cyprus.
