The Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia has the most award-winning beaches in Cyprus. The following beaches have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag. The Blue Flag program, administered by the Foundation for Environmental Education, recognizes beaches that meet strict standards for water quality, safety, environmental education, and sustainable management. In the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia, there are 19 beaches that have been awarded the Blue Flag. These are: Armyrópigado, Vali tou Hatzixenis, Lombardi, Glyky Nero, Kapparis, Skoutarospeilia, Agia Triada, Mina, Vrysoudia, Louma, Pernera, Potami, Vrysi A, Vrysi B, Vrysi C, Vrysi D, Fig Tree Bay, Vyzakia, Nisia Beach, and Glyfades.
