The Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia is accepting applications to fill a permanent position as a Driver in the Waste Management Department—pay grade D.8. A valid commercial driver’s license is required.
Applications must be submitted to the Municipality’s Central Archives at 6 Antonis Papadopoulos Street, 5282, Paralimni, no later than Friday, August 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

- Applicants must be at least18 years of age.
- Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Cyprus or another European Union member state, or hold a work permit in the Republic of Cyprus.
- Male Cypriot citizens are required to have fulfilled their military obligations or to have been legally exempted from them. In the event of a legal exemption, the reasons for such exemption must not render them incapable of performing the job in question.
- Applicants/must not have been convicted by a criminal court of an offense involving dishonesty or moral turpitude, and must not have been dismissed or had their employment terminated by the Civil Service or any public-law entity or local government agency.
- Knowledge of the Greek language is required to a degree that allows for adequate and effective communication.
- Applicants must demonstrate integrity, responsibility, the ability to communicate and collaborate with the public, reliability, discretion, the ability to take initiative, and a pleasant personality.
- The ability to perform manual labor is required.
- Applicants must be in good health and physically able-bodied.
The Municipality reserves the right not to fill the position, depending on the needs of the Municipal Services and the circumstances as they arise, including external factors that may affect economic activity in the wider region.
Candidates will be invited to an oral interview before the Municipality’s Three-Member Committee, and the selection of candidates to be hired will be based on their overall impression and performance during the in-person interview.
The person hired for the position will be on probation for a period of one year, which may be shortened or extended at the discretion of the City Council.
Interested parties must submit a properly completed application by the deadline, using the special form provided by the Municipality.
Before starting employment, those who are hired will be required to submit a certificate of no criminal record and a medical certificate attesting that they are physically capable of performing manual labor.
