The improvisational music workshop with Socrates Sinopoulos was a success

A music workshop on improvisation was successfully held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the basement of the Agios Dimitrios Cultural Center in Paralimni, featuring the distinguished Greek musician and composer Socrates Sinopoulos, who is internationally recognized for his contributions to the politiki lyra.

During the workshop, professional musicians had the opportunity to explore styles of the Politiki lyra, as well as other traditional instruments, through a creative process of sharing knowledge and musical experiences.

Socrates Sinopoulos has been invited to the 2nd "Voices and Memories" Traditional Culture Festival organized by the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia, which is co-organized with the Agios Epifanios Cultural Academy and held under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Culture from March 28 through April 25, 2026, in Paralimni.

In addition, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 8 p.m., she will take part in a musical gathering at the old church of St. George in Paralimni, titled “The Lyre Meets Cyprus” alongside musicians Kyriakos Markoullis, Michalis Kouloumis, and Christos Isidorou. Admission is free.
