The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, in the context of organizing the 15th Pancyprian Strawberry Festival of Deryneia, which will take place on 29.05.2026 at the Anagennisi Stadium of Deryneia and the 17th Pancyprian Watermelon Cultural Festival of Frenaros , which will take place on 10.07.2026 at the Municipal Stadium of Frenaros, is requesting proposals / expressions of interest for a well-known singer / singers or musical group for the organization of a concert of a total duration of at least two (2) hours and thirty (30) minutes (at least 150 minutes).

The following terms and conditions apply to both concerts:

1. The concert/performance will take place in front of a live audience on the dates and at the venues listed above, at a time and on a stage to be determined by the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia.
2. The bidder is requested to enclose with the proposal, a recent signed authorization from the same artist or his/her legal representative (e.g. record company).
3. The expression of interest must indicate the duration of the concert, as well as the individuals who will accompany the singer/singer/singers/musical group, and who may present a dance and/or musical program, as well as the duration of each individual performance. It is understood that the total duration of the performance of the main name/s of the singer/singer/musical group on stage must not be less than two (2) hours and thirty (30) minutes (150 minutes at least).
4. The price must include the singer's fee, food, income tax, transport, tickets, accommodation, accommodation, artistic supervision of the production, copyright taxes and any collaborators' fees, escorts or any other fees and expenses incurred, i.e. all claims without exception that the artist and his/her escorts/associates have for arrival, accommodation, board, travel, presentation of the artistic programme and return. The Municipality of Paralimni - Derynia will not provide any of the above, except for the venue, the sound and lighting coverage, the stage, the dressing rooms, and the security of the singer/singer/music group with staff throughout the concert. It is understood that both the artist and his/her escorts/partners as well as the sound, lighting and stage technicians and those who work for the purpose of the event are obliged to present the artistic programme of the concert according to the requirements of the artist and his/her escorts/partners as well as the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, while they are responsible for the transportation, set-up and storage of their personal belongings and their own equipment.
5. It is understood that by "well-known artist" we mean a singer famous in Cyprus and Greece - and preferably abroad - for his/her musical career through significant and well-known hits, a well-known record career and a significant presence in song playback services (Spotify, Apple Music etc.) as well as being popular with the public through the Mass Media and Social Media and having a predominantly Greek music program.
6. Statements of interest must include the full legal details of the interested parties (Full Name of the Company or Natural Person, No. Company No. VAT, country of registration of the company/natural person) where the payment cheque or bank deposit will be issued by the Municipality of Paralimnii - Deryneia.
7. Expressions of interest must include complete and detailed technical requirements for the rider, lighting and/or stage for the artist(s). It is understood that the attachment of all technical requirements is essential and the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia will not accept any changes or amendments after agreement.
8. Expressions of interest should include in writing any requirements the artist(s)/artistic group has. It is understood that any ex post facto requirements or other requirements not requested in this call will not be accepted.
9. It is understood that other individual offers that the applicant may attach to the final price, such as advertising sponsorships, promotions in the media or social media and/or offers for sound and lighting coverage, will not be accepted in the proposals, nor will they be counted. The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia is solely responsible for the sound and lighting coverage and the promotion of the event.
10. It is understood that the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia has the right to request any individual clarifying documents from the applicant who is obliged to present them at the time requested.
11. The singer/music ensemble to be nominated is prohibited to participate in any other event - concert in the Larnaca and Famagusta districts at least seven (7) days before and seven (7) days after the scheduled concert.
12. Proposals must be submitted in writing in a sealed envelope marked (on the outside of the envelope)“PROPOSAL FOR AN ARTIST FOR THE 15TH FRAULAS DERYNIA FESTIVAL ON 05/29/2026”and/or“PROPOSAL FOR AN ARTIST FOR THE 17TH FRAUNOS WATERMELON FESTIVAL ON 07/10/2026”in the bid box located on the ground floor of the Paralimni–Deryneia Municipal Hall (6 Antonis Papadopoulos Street, 5282 Paralimni).
13. Each applicant may submit more than one (1) proposal for both (2) festivals, provided that the proposal(s) for each festival is placed in a separate envelope clearly labeled as such on the outside. To submit each proposal, interested parties are requested to complete and include in the proposal envelope the relevant form attached (at the end of this announcement) titled“Expression of Interest for an Artist / Artistic Group”for each festival, as well as all the required documents listed therein.
14. The deadline for submitting proposals is Monday, April 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
15. It should be noted that the successful tenderer, if requested, must sign an agreement with the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, prior to the organization of the concert, and upon signing it may be requested to present to the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia a bank cheque of one thousand euros (€1.000), issued from a personal account of a natural person to the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, which will be returned after the end of the concert and/or a Letter of Execution of Bid.
16. The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia is not obliged to accept the lowest or any other declaration of interest.
17. The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia may request clarifications or clarifying details of the proposal from the interested parties.
