A beautiful and original experiential workshop of Cypriot Traditional Music entitled "The Fiddler of St. George with the Dragon" was held on Good Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the event hall of the Town Hall of Paralimni - Deryneia.

The Experiential Workshop was presented by the musical group Kazandibi with Kyriakos Markoullis and Elena Papageorgiou.

Through an entertaining story starring St. George and the Dragon, the children had the opportunity to get in touch with the ch̆iattista as a typical type of singing in Cypriot traditional music. Through experiential and playful activities that contribute to the development of the story, the children were able to get to know the main characteristics of a ts̆iatista, both from a musical and linguistic point of view, as well as some traditional instruments from Cyprus and Greece.

The event took place in the framework of the Festival of Traditional Culture "Voices and Memories" organized by the Municipality of Paralimnii - Derynia in cooperation with the Cultural Academy of Agios Epiphanios (9-30 April 2025).
