The Mayor of Paralimni–Deryneia, Mr. George Nikoletos, attended the reception of the Holy Light at the Metropolitan Church of St. George in Paralimni on the evening of Holy Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Mr. Nikoletos, together with His Eminence Vasilios, Metropolitan of Constantia and Ammochostos, priests of the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Deputy Mayor of Paralimni, and members of the Municipal Council, welcomed the Holy Light to the Metropolitan Cathedral, which was brought by motorcyclists, members of the “Varadero and Friends Famagusta” group.
