On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the coronation ceremony of the new Queen of the Famagusta Carnival, Adamantina Kosma, took place at a party in Agios Georgios Square in Paralimni. The sceptre was handed over by the King of the Famagusta Carnival 2025, Alkis Christou.
In his speech, the Mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia, Mr. George Nicolettos, thanked the members of the Municipal Council, the staff, and the volunteers of the Carnival Group for organizing the events through which the Famagusta Carnival is gradually becoming a major event of joy and carefree fun.
The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia is organizing a rich program of carnival events again this year, which includes activities for young and old, combining tradition, entertainment, music, and carnival spirit.
The events will take place from February 12 to 23, 2026, culminating in the Grand Carnival Parade of Famagusta.
