The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia announces that, in relation to the announcement of a vacant permanent position for a Librarian, the written examination and grading stage has been completed, a process that was assigned to the Center for Scientific Training, The results of the written examination will be announced on the website of the Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia.
The candidates, in accordance with the job description published and posted on the Municipality's website and following a decision by the Municipal Council, were examined in English, Greek, and a specific subject related to the duties of the position.
According to the law, "successful" and "successful in the written examination" means a person who participates in the written examination and obtains an overall average score of at least 50%, as well as at least 40% in each of the subjects included in the examination.
As shown in the list of results that has been published, four (4) of the seven (7) candidates who sat the written exam were successful.
In accordance with the provisions of the law and the framework for filling the position, the number of candidates invited to an oral examination is limited to three times the number of vacant positions that have been published or have become vacant. In the case of one (1) vacant permanent position of Librarian, the number of candidates invited to an oral interview is three (3) and concerns the candidates who obtained the highest scores in the ranking list, in accordance with the applicable legal and institutional framework.
The selection of the candidate to whom the appointment will be offered will be based on the results of the written examination, the results of the oral examination, additional academic qualifications, experience relevant to the duties of the position, and the evaluation by the Municipal Secretary, in accordance with the applicable legal and institutional framework.
The evaluation structure and weighting of criteria is as follows:
- Written Exam: 0-100 points
- Oral Examination: 0-20 points
- Other academic qualifications: 0-3 points
- Experience relevant to the duties of the position: 0-5 points
- Assessment by the Municipal Secretary: 0-5 points
The Municipal Council will offer the position to the candidate who receives the highest overall score in the general ranking.
In the event that two or more candidates obtain the same total number of points and occupy the same position in the overall ranking, a draw will be held between them.
