Open Call for Participation by Groups and Artistic Ensembles for the Famagusta Flower Festival 2026

Open Call for Participation by Groups and Artistic Ensembles for the Famagusta Flower Festival 2026

The Municipalities of Famagusta and Paralimni–Deryneia are jointly organizing the grand celebration of “Flaming Flowers of Famagusta,” which is one of the major cultural institutions that took place in Famagusta prior to 1974 and is inextricably linked to the city’s historical memory and cultural identity.

The Famagusta Flower Festival will take place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. with a parade along Kapparis Avenue, which serves as a natural extension connecting the free province of Famagusta with the currently occupied Kennedy Avenue in Famagusta. The choice of location lends the event special symbolism, as it connects contemporary reality with the city’s timeless memory.

This will be followed by a cultural program in the large parking lot on Kappari Avenue, where the public will have the opportunity to enjoy a celebration dedicated to spring, flowers, and the cultural traditions of Famagusta.

This joint event organized by the municipalities of Famagusta and Paralimni–Deryneia revives a historic tradition with deep roots in time and pays tribute to a significant cultural heritage of our region.

Organized groups from the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia, as well as organized groups from across the entire Famagusta District, are invited to participate under the terms and conditions available by clicking on the link below:
