The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia announces that applications are invited for the filling of one (1) vacant position of Librarian, Cl. A8-10-11 (First Appointment).
A written and oral test will be held to fill the post.
Candidates who meet the requirements for appointment to the Municipal Service in accordance with the Municipal Regulations and the qualifications set out in the Service Plan for the post will be invited to sit the written examination.
The duties, responsibilities, qualifications required and the way to complete and submit the application are set out in the Service Plan of the post published in the Official Gazette of the Republic No 4457 of 30.12.2006. 11/07/2025 (Annex Eight - Service Plans) and in the vacancy notice, the contents of which must be made known to applicants before filling in the application form for each post.
For the submission of their application the interested parties should fill in and sign the special application form, which can be obtained together with the Service Plan from all the Municipal Departments of the Municipality and from the website of the Municipality of Paralimni - Dherynia www.pdm.org.cy, which clearly indicates the position for which the application is made.
The application must be properly completed and contain all the information requested, including certificates and supporting documents relating to academic and/or professional and/or other relevant qualifications, language skills and experience relevant to the duties of the post where and when required.
In view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Revision Appeal 60/2011, the possession of the required qualifications, including any language qualifications, will have to be documented by candidates either through acceptable supporting documents or otherwise by the closing date for applications.
Applications not duly completed and not accompanied by copies of certificates/certificates as explained in detail above or received after the deadline specified herein will be rejected and will not be taken into consideration. It is the sole responsibility of the applicants to complete the application form correctly.
The applications should be delivered to the Central Archive of the Municipality, 6 Antonis Papadopoulou Street, 5282, Paralimni against receipt or received by registered mail at the address Municipality of Paralimni -Derynia, P.O.Box 33033, 5310 Paralimni, no later than Friday 21/11/2025 at 13:00.
It is not permitted to submit an application by any other means than those specified in the above paragraphs.
To submit the application, applicants must pay the non-refundable amount of €50 to the Municipal Treasury at the Municipal Hall in Paralimni Municipal Apartment, 6 Antonis Papadopoulou Street, 5282, Paralimni, against a receipt or by bank transfer to the bank account of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia at the Bank of Cyprus, No. Account No. 044412010768, IBAN CY61 0020 0444 0000 0012 0107 6800, SWIFT BCYPCY2N. In the description of the payment, the characteristic THB must be indicated, followed by the applicant's name and ID card number. Proof of payment must be attached to the application. Applications which are not accompanied by proof of payment will not be accepted.
