The Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia, as part of its organization of the 4th Pan-Cyprian Summer Festival to be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, in the Municipal District of Acheritos within the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia, is seeking proposals / expressions of interest in a well-known singer or musical group for the organization of a concert lasting at least three (3) hours (180 minutes) without an intermission at the Acheritou Event Square.
- The concert/performance will take place in front of a live audience at the Acheritos Event Plaza, in the Acheritos Municipal District of the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. on a stage to be designated and provided by the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia.
- The bidder is requested to enclose with the proposal, a recent signed authorization from the same artist or his/her legal representative (e.g. record company).
- The declaration of interest must indicate the duration of the concert, as well as the persons who will accompany the singer/singer/music group presenting a dance or music programme and the duration of each individual performance.
- The total duration of the live artistic program must be at least one hundred eighty (180) minutes, with no scheduled intermission. The total net performance time of the headliner(s) must be at least one hundred fifty (150) minutes.
- It is understood that the performance of the artist(s) of the artistic group(s) will definitely be performed with live music on stage, i.e. without pre-recorded music (playback).
- The price must include the singer’s fee, meals, income tax, full sound and lighting coverage, copyrights, public performance licenses for music wherever they may be required, PRS fees, tax exemptions for foreign artists or companies, transportation, tickets, lodging, artistic production supervision, copyright taxes, and any fees for collaborators, escorts, or any other fees and expenses that may arise, that is, all claims without exception made by the artist and his or her escorts/collaborators regarding arrival, lodging, meals, transportation, the presentation of the artistic program, and return travel.
- The bidder acknowledges that the price must include the cost of sound and lighting for the event, in accordance with the requirements of the artist/artistic group, and that they will provide all necessary equipment without any request from the Municipality, as well as a generator and security personnel to safeguard the equipment. It is also understood that sound and lighting equipment will be provided in accordance with the requirements of the venue where the event will take place, and the Municipality may commission an expert to verify compliance with the event’s requirements.
- It is understood that the bidder will be responsible for obtaining, in a timely manner, a certificate of suitability from the Electromechanical Service for the power generator it is required to provide, as well as for the required fencing and the safety of the public and participants during installation, use, and dismantling of all technical equipment.
- The Municipality of Paralimni - Derynia will not provide any of the above, apart from the venue of the concert, space that will be used as dressing rooms, and the safety of the singer/singer/music group throughout the concert.
- It is understood that both the artist and his/her escorts/partners as well as the sound, lighting and stage technicians and those who work for the purpose of the event are obliged to present the artistic programme of the concert according to the requirements of the artist and his/her escorts/partners as well as the Municipality of Paralimni - Derynia, while they are responsible for the transportation, set-up and storage of their items and equipment and to provide their own health and safety plans in accordance with the requirements of any legislation in force.
- It is understood that the term “well-known artist” refers to a singer who is famous in Cyprus and Greece —and preferably abroad as well—due to their musical career marked by significant and recognized hits, a well-established discography, and a prominent presence on music streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), as well as being popular with the public through the mass media and social media, and whose repertoire consists primarily of Greek music. To verify the above, the Municipality may request an official discography, recognized musical hits, a proven track record of concert activity, participation in major events, and presence on radio, television, and digital platforms; data on audience reach or online engagement; and a representative list of recent performances.
- Expressions of interest must include the full legal details of the interested parties (Full name of the company or individual, company number, VAT number, country of registration of the company or individual) where the check or bank transfer will be issued by the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia.
- Expressions of interest must include complete, detailed, and clear technical requirements (riders) for sound, lighting, and/or the stage for the artist or artistic group. It is understood that the inclusion of all required technical specifications is essential, as the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia may verify compliance with the artist’s or artistic group’s requirements. It is understood that the final cost of sound and lighting requirements, including sound and lighting technicians, may not exceed 30% of the artist’s or artistic group’s fee.
- Expressions of interest should include in writing any requirements the artist(s)/artistic group has. It is understood that any ex-post requirements or other requirements not requested by the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia in this call will not be accepted.
- It is understood that other individual offers that the applicant may attach to the final price, such as advertising sponsorships, promotions in the media or social media, will not be accepted in the proposals, nor will they be counted.
- It is understood that the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia has the right to request any individual clarifying documents from the applicant who is obliged to present them at the time requested.
- The singer / musical group(s) to be nominated are prohibited from participating in any other event—including concerts—in the districts of Larnaca and Famagusta between October 1, 2026, and October 15, 2026.
- Proposals must be submitted in writing in a sealed envelope marked “PROPOSAL FOR AN ARTIST FOR THE 4TH PAN-CYPRIOT CULTURAL FESTIVAL OF THEROS ACHERITOU” on the tender box located on the ground floor of the Paralimni–Deryneia Municipal Hall (6 Antonis Papadopoulos St., 5282 Paralimni). The deadline for submitting proposals is Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. noon. Each bidder may submit more than one (1) proposal.
- To submit a proposal, interested parties are requested to complete and include in the proposal envelope the relevant form attached below, titled “Expression of Interest for an Artist/Artistic Group for the 4th Pan-Cyprian Acheritos Summer Festival, to be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, in the Acheritos Municipal District of the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia,” as well as all the required documents listed therein. Submission of all documents is mandatory.
- It is noted that the successful bidder must - if requested - sign an agreement with the Municipality of Paralimnii - Deryneia, prior to the organization of the concert, and upon signing it, he must present to the Municipality of Paralimnii - Deryneia a bank cheque of one thousand euros (€1.000), issued from a personal account of a natural person to the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, which will be returned after the end of the concert.
- The Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other expression of interest.
- The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia may request clarifications or clarifying details of the proposal from the interested parties.
