The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia announces that applications are being accepted for the following First Appointment positions:
- one (1) vacant position of Health Officer, Class A8-10-11,
- one (1) vacant position of Technical Service Officer, Class A9-11-12,
- one (1) vacant position of Municipal Service Officer (European Affairs) Class A8-10-11,
- one (1) vacant position of Technical Engineer, Class A5(2)-7-8,
- one (1) vacant position of Traffic Police Officer, Class A2-5-7, and
- three (3) vacant positions for Assistant Administrative Officer, Class A2-5-7.
Written and oral examinations will be held to fill the positions.
Candidates who meet the requirements for appointment to the Municipal Service in accordance with the Municipal Regulations and the qualifications set out in the Service Plan for the post will be invited to sit the written examination.
The duties, responsibilities, required qualifications, and how to complete and submit the application are specified in the Service Plans for the positions published in the Official Gazette of the Republic No. 4468, dated 24/10/2025 (Annex Eight – Service Plans) and in the Announcement, the contents of which interested parties must familiarise themselves with before completing the application form for each position.
To submit their application, interested parties must complete and sign the special application form, which can be obtained together with the Service Plan from all Municipal Departments of the Municipality and from the website of the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia www.pdm.org.cy, clearly stating the position for which they are applying.
The application must be properly completed and contain all the information requested, including certificates and supporting documents relating to academic and/or professional and/or other relevant qualifications, language skills and experience relevant to the duties of the post where and when required.
In view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Revision Appeal 60/2011, the possession of the required qualifications, including any language qualifications, will have to be documented by candidates either through acceptable supporting documents or otherwise by the closing date for applications.
Applications not duly completed and not accompanied by copies of certificates/certificates as explained in detail above or received after the deadline specified herein will be rejected and will not be taken into consideration. It is the sole responsibility of the applicants to complete the application form correctly.
Applications must be submitted to the Central Registry of the Municipality, 6 Antonis Papadopoulos Street, 5282, Paralimni, against receipt, or sent by registered mail to the following address: Municipality of Paralimni -Deryneia, P.O. Box 33033, 5310 Paralimni, no later than Friday, January 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
It is not permitted to submit an application by any other means than those specified in the above paragraphs.
To submit their application, applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of €50 to the Municipal Fund at the Municipal Hall in the Municipal District of Paralimni, 6 Antonis Papadopoulos Street, 5282, Paralimni, against receipt, or by bank transfer to the bank account of the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia at the Bank of Cyprus, Account No. 044412010768, IBAN CY61 0020 0444 0000 0012 0107 6800, SWIFT BCYPCY2N. The payment description must include the code ΘΒ, followed by the applicant's full name and identity card number. Proof of payment must be attached to the application. Applications that are not accompanied by proof of payment will not be accepted.
